Aussie drum n’ bass act Pendulum have done what the Temper Trap, Airbourne and Jet couldn’t do – they’ve taken out the top spot in the UK album charts. Their third album Immersion, has knocked The Rolling Stones’ reissued Exile on Main Street off the top spot. Pendulum started out in Perth at the start of the decade, before relocating to the United Kingdom in 2003. After 2008’s much acclaimed In Silico album, redolent with rock influences, they’ve hit the top with this offering. Known for their covers of classic rock songs like Led Zep’s Immigrant Song and Metallica’s Master of Puppets, they’ve also remixed fellow UK chart topper Plan B’s Stay Too Long single.
