Having only just locked in its impressive lineup earlier this year, Brisbane’s awesomely named music festival, The Blurst Of Times, has confirmed that it is expanding south – making it three awesome editions for the event’s sophomore run.

Conceived and presented by Brisbane’s The Fans Group, The Blurst of Times will debut in Brisbane on Saturday 18th October, headlined by hometown dynamic (and AMP nominated) duo DZ Deathrays and Aussie punk veterans Hard-Ons, before making its way to Melbourne and Sydney with modified lineups that will focus on talent specific to each capital as well selections of the impressive roster booked for the Brisbane edition.

The Melbourne edition will take place on Sunday 19th October at Seaworks in Williamstown (the same site as the equally fresh Out On The Weekend, taking place the day before), and prioritise spy-rock maverick Jeremy Neale, the moody Harmony, fuzz-rock favourites Beaches, local larrakins Drunk Mums, Rice Is Nice label highlights Spod and Donny Benet, plus ScotDrakula and Sunbeam Sound Machine.

The inaugural Sydney Blurst of Times will take over the Factory Theatre the following weekend, on Saturday 25th October, bringing bands unique to the bill such as energetic trio Step-Panther, young talents Hockey Dad, the dreamy Bearhug, plus art-punks These New South Wales, Black Zeros, and Chicks Who Love Guns.

Appearing across multiple bills are other inventive guitar bands like The UV Race, Babaganouj, Rolls Bayce, Born Lion, and more. View the full lineup and ticket details below. Each city will also get a clutch of new bands come 8th September when a second Blurst of Times lineup announcement drops.

Early bird tickets for all three events are on sale now, starting at a very reasonable $50 (+b/f) before ongoing release tickets drive the price up.
