Judas Priest & Dragonforce Announce Soundwave 2015 Sideshows

Few bands wield the kind of power or influence that UK metal godfathers Judas Priest do. Over the course of nearly 40 years, they’ve unveiled albums that are considered seminal in the cannon of heavy metal and now they’ve announced they will be imposing their iron will on crowds in Brisbane and Sydney this February with fellow Brits Dragonforce.

The mighty Priest are fresh off a highly acclaimed tour promoting their latest album, Redeemer of Souls, which critics have labelled as a tremendous affirmation of the band’s ability to produce vital and relevant albums filled with furious riffage, epic imagery, and frontman Rob Halford’s soaring vocals, even after four decades together.

Meanwhile, Dragonforce have continued on the path they forged for themselves with the release of 2003’s fantastical Valley of the Damned, most recently culminating in the release of last year’s Maximum Overload. The album is packed with the guitar pyrotechnics of Herman Li and Sam Totman and the Olympian vocals of Marc Hudson.
