There are few bands that live up to the cult greatness of Australian alt-rock titans, The Church, who have a comfortable 21 full-length LP under their belt.
Melding together an infinite list of elements from new wave, progressive rock, psychedelica, goth and post-punk, the Sydney band have never been one to shy away from something new or interesting, and almost unbelievably after 30 odd years of creating music, they still somehow are producing a timeless sound, which is emphatically exemplified on the track ‘Vanishing Man’,
Exploring the depths of brooding psych and post-punk, the melodic track sees enigmatic frontman Steve Kilbey power through nearly five minutes of brilliance, his vocals still as twisting and haunting as they were back in the glorious ’80s.
