Earlier this week we reported of a brand-spanking new festival that would take over an entire town for a few days, and now, on a much more lower scale, there’s a killer music festival that’ll annex a Victorian Winery.
Introducing I’m New Here, the newest arrival to Melbourne’s music day festival scene. The inaugural event takes place Sunday 22nd of March in Werribee at Shadowfax’s winery, the day focusing primarily on beautiful food and beverages and most importantly, performances from some of Australia’s best rising musical talent.
Headlining the day out are soul-pop extraordinaires The Harpoons, who are stilling riding high from the release of their gorgeous record Falling For You and the incredibly talented soulstress, Ngaiire. In addition to this, punters will be treated to the sounds of Lanks, Animaux, Passerine, Vince Peach and Femi.
I’m New Here will celebrate the new vintage coming in off the vineyard and in addition to showcasing Shadowfax’s latest releases, there will be a superb range of dishes including wood fired pizzas, pork sliders with slaw, salt and pepper calamari and many more, using the best and fresh ingredients from the season.
Shadowfax’s Winemaker Matt Harrop spoke of the forthcoming music and food extravaganza, “This event, staged amongst the splendour of the winery and vineyard, gives us a chance to celebrate everything that’s new this coming autumn including the launch of our Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays, together with delicious food and a solid line up of contemporary music, from neo-soul to cutting edge electronica.”
Tickets are an absolute steal, sitting at $65.00, which gives you entry to the festival, as well as some food and drinks throughout the day. With such a stellar lineup and a beautiful garden surrounding, we certain tix to this badboy will fly out the door.
