What do you get when one of the most iconic DJs in the world get denied entry into one of the most iconic nightclubs in the world? A firestorm of hell.
Felix da Housecat, one of Chicago’s most important house and electroclash producers was turned away from Berlin’s most notoriously strict superclub, Berghain, over the weekend, and as Fact report, Felix is really pissed off.
This Friday night just gone, Housecat attempted to get into Berghain to which he was denied entry for reasons he stated on Twitter, alleging that he was turned away because he is African American and that the German nightclub disrespects the origins of house music.
Naturally, Housecat’s management have removed his online tirade, you can read the full below – here are some of Housecat’s enraged words, but we must warn, they’re definitely not safe for work.
“U @beghain I will never play into your whack ness Chicago and Detroit built your lil city”
“U think I’m making u whack famous @berghain dude u jus pissed on Frankie knuckles and Larry Levan u hitler racist”
“ITS SO SAD!!!! @berghain FUK U.. U MAKE MONEY off of slave Djs u dont give a fun and u can give FUK”
“I had no idea when I was making house music I’m 1985 tht I would travel the world to Berlin 2 b turned away from a club that plays My blakk music!!!”
“Yes I’m sober and Yes @berghain are racist cunts who shitted on HouseMusic yes Chicago Yes Detroit, now what??? Wake up”
For those that haven’t suffered the anxiety of trying to get into Berghain or even have a clue what this is all about, the infamous nightclub is renown for it’s insanely strict door policy. Techno hopefuls can be seen lining up for hours on end, rain hail or shine (literally) to which they’ll more than probably be denied by a simple flick of the hand, with zero justification as to why.
The superclub attests they abide by such a strict policy to ensure that only the most dedicated of electronic-based music fans be allowed to their club, ensuring that appreciation is paramount within the massive warehouses’ walls at all time and cementing themselves as the most exclusive techno club around the globe, that sees thousands from around the globe try their luck at charming the terrifying security guards.
