The past couple of days have been laden with stage falling lols, in case you missed it, Football Federation Australia’s chairman, Frank Lowy, took a tumble off the stage at last night’s A-League Grand Final, and a few days before that, U2’s The Edge was living a little too close to the edge, taking a rather nasty fall off a Vancouver stage.
The iconic lead guitarist was casually strutting down the narrow stage as Bono belted out the lyrics to the classic tune, ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’, blindly placing a foot on fresh air and falling straight down, as Fairfax report.
For all you U2 fans, worry not, The Edge is a tough cookie, bouncing up after the fall and continuing on with the concert. After the gig the Irish rocker confirmed that he was completely fine, uploading a pic to Instagram with a bruise and battered arm that read, “Didn’t see the edge, I’m ok!! #U2ieTour.”
U2 were performing the very first show of their Innocence And Experience tour which will see the band charm hearts in Canada, the US and Europe for the remainder of this year, with no Aussie dates have been announced.
We’ve seen a few of music’s biggest names take some pretty harsh falls like absolute bosses this year, who could forget Madonna’s tragic dress malfunction that caused her to plummet down a staircase whilst performing at the BRIT Awards, only to get straight back up and kill it. That’s why they’re the pros.
