Well, everyone. I think we just reached peak ‘Straya.
Last night the State of Origin actually ran with the idea of having ex Shannon Noll do a sing-off with a former Packed To The Rafter actor as their pre-game entertainment. Safe to say What Happened Next Probably Won’t Shock You, because it went about as well as you might imagine – i.e. not very.
But what the performance lacked in singing ability, stage presence, and all-round general talent, it more than made up for it in Aussie fuckin’ spirit. And that’s all that should really matter, anyway.
Now look, we know it’s bloody un-Australian to rip into a bloke who’s just trying to have a fair go. But at the same time, it’s also bloody un-Australian not to call out a mate when they step outta line.
So apologies Nollesy, but you done let us down. You’re still a top bloke though.

Suddenly, AFL’s Meatloaf performance is removed as the worst pre-match entertainment on Australian soil. #SOO #Origin
