Attention rock ‘n roll fans, we’ve got some super exciting news for y’all, the ferocious trio that are the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion are returning to Australia this winter to melt away your seasonal blues a part of Supersense festival and a string of headline shows.
The band are running hot after the release of the latest record, Freedom Tower – No Wave Dance Party 2015, which was rehearsed and polished in a string of secret gigs and unannounced opening slots in New York City theatres, hotel bars, and dives (often under assumed names), and recorded at the legendary Daptone House Of Soul in Bushwick, Freedom Tower, and they’re now bringing this live show to our turf.

For nearly 25 years the Blues Explosion have been perpetrating some of the most timeless moments of musical mayhem in the history of Manhattan and beyond. As ever, Jon Spencer tells the tales, Judah Bauer plays the blues, and Russell Simins smashes things to bits.
