Melbourne’s favourite garage rock delinquents, Drunk Mums, have announced they’ll be heading out on a new set of national tour dates to celebrate the release of their eagerly anticipated forthcoming sophomore album, Gone Troppo, out 4th September.

Gone Troppo is the first full length release from the band since their much lauded 2012 self-titled album. They boys recently unveiled the first single from the album, titled ‘Pub On My Own’, which shows the new dynamic edge to the grop.

Drawing influences from CCR through to ’77–style punk, Gone Troppo was recorded and mixed by Nick Hoare (ESC, Absolute Boys, Scotdrakula) across two locations in Melbourne. One was out by a truck stop in Reservoir, and the other at Brunswick’s Smooch Records.

The announcement of Gone Troppo caps off a massive 18 months for the band, which has seen the release of the singles ‘Plastic’ and ‘Nanganator’, as well as performances at Paradise Music Festival, Blurst of Times, and Boogie Festival.
