Primal Scream front man and one time Jesus & Mary Chain drummer Bobby Gillespie unveiled a new supergroup for an apparent one off gig at a festival in inner East London over the weekend. Billed as The Silver Machine, Gillespie was joined by Sex Pistols bassist Glen Matlock, former Oasis drummer and son of Ringo Starr, Zak Starkey, along with his Primal Scream bandmates Andrew Innes and Barrie Cadogan for the much anticipated covers show at the festival in Shoreditch Park.

The crowd were all lapping up the set of 60s garage covers, with the band – supposedly for one night only – covering a selection of tracks by The MC5, The Troggs, Creation and The Flaming Groovies.
