The folks at Bundaberg Rum are hard at work putting on their own music event, The Spirit of Bundaberg Festival, which is set to take place on Saturday, 10th October, and they’ve just announced one massive headliner.

The Antidopean Rock Collective (ARC) are Australia’s “premiere super-group”, featuring four of Australia’s most iconic rockers, including Jet’s Mark Wilson, Spiderbait’s Kram, Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton, and returning once again after headlining the May show, You Am I’s Davey Lane.

This incredible collection of veteran Australian rockers boast 33 ARIA Awards and 16 Top 10 albums between them and The Spirit of Bundaberg Festival will be their first Queensland show as well as one of the few chances fans will get to see them this year.

The ARC will be drawing on a vast catalogue of hits from each of the members’ respective bands and festival organisers are promising the members are “united in their love for high octane, electrifying shows that are as unique as they are rare”.

The Bundaberg crew will be transforming the distillery grounds in a lively festival space open to the public from 10am to 8pm, featuring a Bathurst Fan Zone, for those with a love of music and racing, cocktail master classes, local rum-inspired food, and more this October.

The event will feature some extra musical muscle in the form of Eden Mulholland, Brisbane’s Zefereli, and Bundaberg’s own The Young Dingoes, with more acts to be confirmed in the coming weeks, making for one hell of a lineup for fans of Australian music.

This year, the region’s biggest free music festival, will also form part of the closing proceedings of Crush Festival’s 10-day curated program of new and innovative arts projects and performances, running from the 3rd-12th October.
