Perth chart-toppers Birds Of Tokyo recently unveiled a surprise cover of The Weeknd’s funky hit ‘Can’t Feel My Face’, but the deftly crafted rendition wasn’t recorded on a stage or even in the triple j studios for Like A Version.

Three members of the band recently linked up with the folks at iHeartRadio to cover the Canadian singer’s ubiquitous single as they make the rounds promoting their new compilation album, Playlist…A Singles Collection.

The cover comes just weeks after Bad//Dreems and The Preatures frontwoman Isabella Manfredi laid down their own cover of the mega-hit for triple j’s Like A Version, turning the funky pop number into something more akin to a Paul Kelly pub classic.

Playlist…A Singles Collection is slated for release on Friday, 6th November and will feature songs from the band’s decade-spanning career. In the meantime, check out their ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ cover below and let us know who you think did it better.
