It’s pretty much universally agreed upon that Tony Abbott was a lacklustre Prime Minister at best. Some even revile him as quite possibly one of the worst things ever to happen to or in Australia.
Well, those people haven’t heard him sing and before you scroll down the page and subject yourself to it, just remember that once you hear it, it cannot be unheard. Go on, scroll down, but don’t say we didn’t warn you.
As Fairfax reports, Abbott was recorded singing a cringe-inducing a cappella version of the Elvis Presley classic ‘Suspicious Minds’ (fitting, no?), apparently one of his favourite karaoke tracks, at a Nats Christmas party on Tuesday.
Ol’ Tone is apparently infamous for singing the track during special occasions and reportedly sang it twice on the night, accompanied by karaoke music the second time, which is the version you can witness in all its horror below.
