Jack White let fly at a celebrity crowd in New York City last week during a secret show by The Dead Weather to relaunch hipster hangout Don Hills. White labelled the A-list crowd as “hip motherfuckers”. It appears that White wasn’t too happy with the cool reaction of the crowd which included the likes of Sean Lennon, Liv Tyler, Alexa Chung and Mary-Kate Olsen. White’s outburst began with him saying “Fuck you, you hip motherfuckers!” before he went on to blast them saying: “Why don’t you rock the fuck out? Maybe I should go grab those free drinks and shove them down your throats, you hip motherfuckers!” He also stopped the set midway through to get an audience member thrown out for taking photos. Those in the crowd who watched his onstage meltdown were offered an apology at the end with White trying to make nice, saying “I’m sorry I blew up at you guys earlier,” before continuing “Thanks for coming out.”
