After what was a hectic and successful year, Hobart dance music makers Close Counters (aka  Allan McConnell and Finn Rees) are following up a massive 2015 with their new single ‘Picture Me’ taken from their upcoming second EP.

Inspired by a varied and eclectic mix of artists including the likes of Disclosure, Flying Lotus and Jamiroquai the duo have combined elements of synth-funk, house and straight up dance to create a banger of a track. Featuring Hobart musicians DJ Grotesque on turntables and vocals from art-pop singer BINI, ‘Picture Me’ will be officially released on the 29th January.

It’s fair to predict 2016 is set to be a big year for the young music pair who have commenced working on their forthcoming EP, which will feature artists such as Mr. Muthafuckin’ eXquire and UK based artist Max Marshall.

For now check out the track below and for more info visit their Facebook page.
