If you happen to be an avid Double J listener, it’s likely you managed to catch one of Australia’s favourite supergroups reuniting live on-air. We speak of course of Seeker Lover Keeper, the collaborative project between Sarah Blasko, Holly Throsby, and Sally Seltmann.

Blasko is Double J’s Artist In Residence for the month and she’s been busying herself by celebrating the music of the 2000s, of which she and her sisters in Seeker Lover Keeper formed a big part for many Australian music fans.

She decided to invite her bandmates into the studio as a special treat for fans and whilst interviewing Seltmann and Throsby, Blasko popped the big question: “Do you think Seeker Lover Keeper will release another album?”

As triple j notes, it’s been five years since Seeker Lover Keeper released their debut, which received critical acclaim and managed to send two songs into the triple j Hottest 100 countdown for the year of 2011.

“I think there’s a high chance that Seeker Lover Keeper will make another album,” Throsby replied. “We haven’t really talked about it, the three of us all together.” Apparently, Blasko is into the idea of sorting out the details later.

“What’s a better time than now?” she shot back. “Publicly – in front of a national audience.” Added Seltmann: “I think we should,” with the other members of the now reformed Seeker Lover Keeper concurring.

“That’s basically the reason I called you in here. Maybe now we’ll go and work on some songs?” Blasko asked. “That’s exciting, isn’t it?” Throsby said. However, we may have to wait until Blasko finishes her latest tour in support of new album Eternal Return.
