Adelaide rockers West Thebarton Brothel Party have dropped their first single for 2016 and in typical WTBP fashion it’s an all out guitar – driven sonic assault.

Titled ‘Red or White’ the new single and video comes off the back of the seven piece’s 2015 self-titled debut EP which saw the guys embark on a national tour with fellow South Australians Bad//Dreems and score killer support slots for Courtney Barnett, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, as well as international acts Wavves and Cloud Nothings.

Filmed, directed and edited by Lewis Brideson, the clip is a perfect accompaniment to the frantic track. Brideson explains the story behind the video: “Between scratching away at that wall of monotonous to-dos and stepping into your head to tear it down, the film clip for ‘Red or White’ walks a line somewhere between the sane and insane. It’s the trap for a twenty-something reflecting on the drab and dreary. It’s oozing red and relentless rhythm cuts, chopped through the squalor of a writhing subconscious.”

Now getting back into crafting new music, ‘Red or White’ was recorded with Alistair Wells at Grinch Records and mastered by Steve Smart at 301 Studios. Capturing the relentless energy of their live show, this single is an exciting teaser of what to expect from the guys in 2016.
