Following on from the release of two two stunning singles, ‘The Doghouse’ and ‘Little Boy’, Norwegian producer Limbic Void is today unveiling his new fice track EP titled Lapdogs.
Drawing from a wide range of electronic influences including Röyksopp, Phoria, Flume and Robyn, Lapdogs has actually been in the making for some time now. After writing the entire EP Limbic Void wasn’t 100% happy with where the track were going, so he scrapped the entire project for a rework.
He explains the rebirth of the EP “The new songs came to me much more naturally, and were all written and produced in about a week or two – the theme of the EP however did not change. I was playing around with the ideas revolving around a harmless comment that stuck in my head, about how people settling down had become ‘domesticated’ and were no longer free.
“Even if the comment held a certain amount of truth, I found the idea both stupid and interesting at the same time and ended up exploring the theme in almost every song I wrote.”
It’s a stunning debut EP from the talented producer, check out Lapdogs in its entirety below and if you like what you’re hearing pop by Limbic’s Facebook page.
