Ronnie Wood – after almost 40 years still the ‘new boy’ in the Rolling Stones, has amazingly found time to make a solo album. Better known for his alcoholism and penchant for chasing after Russian girls a third of his age, he’s called in some big names to help out on his first solo album in almost 10 years. Lining up Slash, the Red Hot Chili Pepper’s Flea and Ian McLagan of The Faces was no mean feat, and rumour has it that he also called upon Kris Kristofferson, ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons, and soulman Bobby Womack to record the album, entitled I Feel Like Playing. It’ll be released on indie label Eagle Records at the end of September, but in the meantime you can check out the first single from it here
