Byron legends Skegss are the first to tell you they’re not a political band, opting instead to sing about good times with mates and life on the coast. But even they can tell you Pauline Hanson is an idiot.

But with Hanson’s One Nation party expected to win two Senate slots in Queensland, the band took to Facebook to share the cover of their 2014 demo, which featured a less than flattering photo of Hanson.

“We made this cover of our demo in 2014 as a bit of a nostalgic joke at this d***head,” they wrote. “But the fact that she is back in the mix is f****d. We aren’t a political band but what we picked up on when we were tiny little kids in the ’90s was she is a racist.”

“What the f**k is she doing back here? Some Australians need to stop being gronks. F**k You Pauline.” Whilst most of the ensuing comments from the trio’s fans were supportive, not everyone agreed with their platform of not being a racist moron.

“You’ve [sic] been force fed media bullshit then if thats [sic] what you believe about her… what she wanted in ’97 was for the people to be aware of how poor management of this nations [sic] excessive immigration was financially irresponsible,” one commenter, Rod, wrote.

To which the band replied, “Hey Rod. Piss off.” Other comments included missives like “F**k you skegss , you anti Australia prick………..and the horse you come to town on [sic]” and “You’ve been brainwashed and government love people like you”.

One guy really took the cake with, “It’s jus [sic] some of us Australian [sic] actually give a f**k about our country n [sic] if that is being racist then I guess I am to [sic].” You can check out the comments and the band’s hilarious responses below.
