‘Baby Calm Down’ is the new single from the Sydney-via-London songwriter Harry Heart.

Harry’s voice has a marvellous tone to it, shifting between rich lows and shimmering highs as it tears through a sharp lyric (“she fucks like a fever/body in line with the body beneath her”), and there’s a delicious tension that builds throughout – soft, solitary arpeggios intermittently making way for jagged riffs and massive drums. Fantastic stuff.

It’s a sound that will hopefully translate to the live stage as Harry takes to the stage with his touring band The Harry Heart Chrysalis. He’ll be playing with The Khanz, Moza and Hey Geronimo DJs at the Rare Finds/OXJAM show at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Friday August 12.
