Sugar Mountain 2017 organisers promised “one for the ages” when they unveiled their eagerly anticipated lineup last month, which features genre-bending UK maverick Blood Orange, Pantha Du Prince, Little Simz, Big Scary, MY DISCO, and more.
Now, they’ve announced the very exciting return of Sensory, Sugar Mountain’s one-of-a-kind audio-visual culinary experience, which combines world-class music with world-class food, offering something to delight foodies and music fans alike.
Next year’s Sensory soundtrack will be provided by Texan retro-synth masters S U R V I V E, who came to international attention this year for their dark, brooding, ambient work on the soundtrack to the smash Netflix series Stranger Things.
New York-based, Miami-raised Daniel Arsham will be providing the visuals next year. His work has been shown in prestigious galleries such as PS1 in New York, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Miami, and The Athens Biennale in Greece.
Finally, chef Peter Gunn, best known as one of the culinary masters who helped make Attica, Ezards, and The Royal Mail such respected establishments (as well as his own acclaimed Smith St, Collingwood restaurant IDES) will provide next year’s menu.
“When I opened IDES I put as much thought into the music, the interiors and the lighting as I did the food because for me, all of those different aspects are vital in creating a great dining experience,” he said.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Daniel Arsham and the guys from S U R V I V E to take this idea to a whole new level at Sugar Mountain.” Strictly limited tickets for Sensory 2017 are on sale 8am Wednesday, 16th November.
