In case you haven’t heard, over the weekend triple j Unearthed celebrated 10 years since its incredible online portal went live with a massive party that took place at the State Library Victoria as part of Melbourne Music Week.

There were performances from a string of artists whom we first heard of via our national youth broadcaster’s brilliant platform for young up-and-coming artists to give themselves a little exposure, including Allday, Alex Lahey, and Northeast Party House.

Speaking of Northeast Party House, the Melbourne crew linked up with Grinspoon frontman Phil Jamieson, whose band won triple j Unearthed High back in the day (this was before this newfangled internet thing), to perform a cover of Grinspoon’s classic tune ‘Chemical Heart’.

Together, they turned the beloved Aussie alt-rock tune into a dance floor-filling banger. Check out the blistering performance below.
