Jack Antonoff, better know as either “the guy from fun”, “the guy from Bleachers” or “Lena Dunham’s boyfriend” started The Ally Coalition in 2012, an organisation which has been responsible for raising millions of dollars to help in the fight for LGBTQ equality.

Last night, they hosted a benefit concert in NYC to raise funding for homeless LGBTQ youth. With Antonoff’s connections, this wasn’t just any charity do, featuring the likes of Lorde, Lauren Mayberry from Chvrches, Charli XCX, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Antonoff himself. They humbly referred to it as a “talent show” – and it certainly was.

Lorde covered Robyn’s ‘Hang With Me’, Lauren Mayberry belted Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’, and Charli XCX and Antonoff nailed ‘Boom Clap’ – but by far the highlight of the evening was a charmingly sloppy group rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s vitriolic 1976 single ‘Go Your Own Way’.

The whole thing looks in danger of falling apart during the first verse, with nobody quite sure of the lyrics. Luckily, they steer things out of danger by the time the big chorus comes along, but it’s a close call. It seems like a group of friends bumbling through an acoustic singalong – which is actually what it is, I suppose.

Check it out at around the five-minute mark on the below video, then scroll down and watch Lauren Mayberry do her best Katy Perry.
