Sadly, Lady Gaga has ended her court battle with her former producer/collaborator/boyfriend Rob Fusari, which unfortunately means we won’t get all the juicy details of the fight over the massive amounts of money cascading in to her bank account at the moment. Fusari had claimed he was owed a whopping $US30.5 million from her as a result of the 20% of her income he’d supposedly agreed with her in a contract.
Back in 2006, she was just plain old Stefani Germanotta, and they had been an item, with him helping her write hits such as ‘Papparazzi’ and ‘Beautiful, Dirty, Rich’ on her 2008 debut The Game. Her lawyers say that she was inexperienced and naive when he got her to sign an ‘unfair contract’; while he has hit back in his lawsuit saying “All business is personal … When those personal relationships evolve into romantic entanglements, any corresponding business relationship usually follows the same trajectory so that when one crashes they all burn. That is what happened here.” Apparently they’ve finished the fight in the sandpit and settled out of court for an undisclosed figure, which is a shame, as it seems that their cat fight was just starting to get interesting.
