LCD Soundsystem announced their reunion at the beginning of 2016, announcing tour dates and a forthcoming album. They were even set to tour Australia towards the end of last year, before cancelling these (unannounced) plans in order to continue finishing the record.

But 2017 is here, and there is yet to be a peep from James Murphy and co. Now, he has responded to an anxious fan on Facebook with an update. Seems the entire season of winter is to blame.

“Still working on it, but it’ll be done soon. Winter tends to mess with my voice, so finishing the thing drags out.”

May we suggest a move to sunny, summery Australia to nail those final vocal takes? A few shows while you’re here wouldn’t hurt either…
