There have been a lot of different statistics shared so far about last week’s Hottest 100 list, such as the fact that 66% of the list was made up of Australian songs, and 51% of voters were male.
Now, triple j have shared another interesting statistic about that ways in which males and females voted, and it would appear there isn’t a massive taste difference between the sexes.
Flume was the top pick among both sexes, not too surprising considering he landed the top position. Amy Shark, Childish Gambino and Tash Sultana also ranked highly with males as well as females.
The main differences come lower in the top 20 chart (below, as shared by triple j). Kanye West seems to have turned off the women this time around, while The xx doesn’t seem to interest male listeners.
Violent Soho and Hilltop Hoods are much more popular with guys, while the ladies love Illy – it would appear.
