Photo citation in the age of the net is often a tricky thing, but somewhere in the archive at the Australian arm of The Daily Mail there appears to be a photo of South London hip hop group Section Boyz which is labelled as a gang photo.

This is the only possible reason for a photo of the group to have appeared in the publication twice now, in unrelated stories about gang violence. Both times, Media Watch pointed out the error.

Section Boyz weren’t too happy with the blunder either, tweeting “@DailyMailAU we are not happy with the way you have used our popular picture to slander another group that has nothing to do with us. FIX UP”

The website has since replaced the photo.
