Just in case you were still a bit bitter about Donald Trump’s election as the president of the United States of America, it looks like the land of the free could see yet another celebrity join in their political free-for-all, as it seems like nu-metal turned rap turned country musician Kid Rock could be announcing a run for the US Senate.

As Pitchfork reports, Kid Rock’s name was brought up at a Republican Party in Michigan earlier this year as a potential candidate for the state’s Senate. Now, a website has appeared which is selling bumper stickers and other merchandise promoting Kid Rock’s potential foray into politics.

Taking to Twitter earlier, the musician shared an image of a political sign bearing his name and addressed rumours of the site’s legitimacy. “I have had a ton of emails and texts asking me if this website is real,” the rocker said. “The answer is an absolute YES.”

The website, the plainly named Kid Rock For Senate, shows an image of  Kid Rock in front of a stuffed deer, before the confusing question “Are you scared?” appears. The site also features merchandise in the form of t-shirts, stickers, hats, and yard signs that bear the words “Kid Rock for Senate”. Also on the site is a changing sign that contains a number of potential political slogans, including “I’ll rock the party”, and the hilarious “Get in the Senate and try to help someone”.

Kid Rock has also teased that a ‘major announcement’ is set to come soon, so we will have to sit tight to see if this is all legit. Considering the amount of celebrities that have made their entry into politics, there’s a good chance this isn’t a joke, but we really, really hope it is.
