Legendary psychedelic space rockers The Church are receiving some long overdue acclaim and are to be inducted into the Australian Record Industry Association Hall of Fame. Since starting out in Sydney 30 years ago and releasing their fondly regarded debut Of Skins & Heart, the band leapt into the public consciousness with the unforgettable single The Unguarded Moment in 1981. The band became worldwide stars with the release of the album Starfish in 1988, storming the American charts with the Australian anthem Under The Milky Way. With a line up that has remained unchanged since the mid 1990s, the band are undertaking a 30th anniversary tour at the end of the year. Joining them in being inducted into the Hall of Fame are Models, Johnny Young, The Loved Ones and John Williamson.
