How did you spend your Saturday? Well, if you happened to be Aussie producer Rojdar, then you probably spent it rising to the challenge of Irish rockers The Script, who had tasked him with creating a remix of their track ‘No Man Is An Island’ in the span of only a few hours.

While fans of The Script probably started their day looking by forward to heading along to see one of their favourite acts perform live, Rojdar started the day by receiving a call from the band’s guitarist Mark Sheehan.

“We wanted to put a challenge to you today,” Sheehan began. “We love the remixes you do, we love what you do, and we think you’re fucking awesome, and we’d love to challenge you to do a remix. We want you to do it by the time we get to Brisbane today though.”

Upping the ante though, Rojdar chimed in by wagering, “If I get the remix to you by soundcheck, I perform it for you guys tonight.”

What followed was quite probably a stressful few hours for the talented producer, famed for tracks such as ‘‘Ignition,’ as he completed the remix of the opening track of the band’s 2017 album, Freedom Child.

Following a very warm reception of the track by The Script, Rojdar indeed graced the stages of the Brisbane Entertainment Centre last night, where he performed his stellar remix of the track to some huge applause from the eager crowd.
