Bee Gees co-founder Sir. Barry Gibb has received a knighthood at Buckingham Palace. He was knighted at the palace, by Prince Charles for “services to music and charity”.

According to the BBC, Gibb had this to say about his knighting, “If it was not for my brothers, I would not be here. If I had spent my whole life writing songs on my own, it would have meant something else altogether… hope and pray they are aware of what’s happened”.

Sir. Barry Gibb is the last surviving member of The Bee Gees. His brother Maurice passed in 2003 from complications following a bowel operation and his twin Robin in 2012 from cancer.
