Sydney based lo-fi songwriter and producer Raindrop (real name Miles Devine) has explored retro stylings, hazy textures and the utmost chilled-out vibes on his debut album Mild Meltdown.

Without compromising on catchiness Raindrop lends from psyched-out synthy textures, plucking staccato tinged guitar licks with conviction and often teeters on the edge of dissonance, before resolving in a glittery laid-back coolness. The album strikes towards the likes of Tame Impala, Methyl Ethyl and Unknown Mortal Orchestra – the soundtrack to summer afternoons and balmy, dreary-eyed nights.

The album has spawned three singles – the Motown-inspired ‘Only Hope’, the dreamy ‘Another World and the epic ‘Bob Dylan’s 16th Dream’, following up from Raindrop’s 2015 debut EP, ‘Crowded Brain

“Mild Meltdowns explores the idea of being able to eventually laugh at the things that are most devastating or dramatic to us,” said Devine explaining the concept behind the release.
