Limp Bizkit have been the subject of an unfortunate onstage mishap, after a roof cave-in caused the group’s recent show in England to be cut short.

As Consequence Of Sound report, Limp Bizkit were performing at the Boomtown Fair festival in Winchester, England earlier this month when their set had to come to a premature close thanks to the inclement weather.

As fan-shot footage of the event shows, the group were performing their 1999 single ‘Break Stuff’ when water began leaking from the roof above guitarist Wes Borland, drenching his guitar rig.

“Oh, shit!” frontman Fred Durst can be heard saying. “The pedalboard is gonna go out right now.”

Sure enough, Borland’s guitar starts to sputter a bit, but being the consummate professional he is, manages to finish the song before his setup died completely.

As the lights went down onstage, Fred Durst spoke to the crowd, explaining their decision to pack it in. “Unfortunately, the guitar rig just blew up,” he explained. “On that note, I’d like to say how grateful I am because tonight genuinely was fucking incredible. Thank you so much.”

Taking to Instagram after the show, Wes Borland shared an image of what his guitar rig looked like after being hit by “a jacuzzi amount of water”.

“This is what a pedalboard looks like when it rains all day and the ceiling of the stage you’re playing breaks open and a jacuzzi amount of water gets dumped on top of you on the second to last song of your set,” he explained.

Luckily, the guitarist was back up and running the next day, taking to Instagram to share his progress update. “We fixed my pedalboard today,” he wrote. “2 days of letting everything dry out and massive rewiring.”

“My looper pedal is gone and half of my power (we’re using batteries tonight) but my rig is on the way to recovery.”

While this definitely isn’t the wildest thing to have happened onstage in the past, we can only assume that the group are thankful they weren’t playing their 2011 track ‘Shark Attack’.
