Paul McCartney has shared a business idea he had with Keith Richards

Paul McCartney appeared on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast recently to promote his new album Egypt Station. During their chat, the music legend opened up about a business idea he came up with on holiday with Keith Richards recently.

According to McCartney, the two icons were both on holiday in Turks and Caicos when they came up with a business “designing portable dog kennels that were inflatable,” The singer continued, “It was a pretty good idea, we thought.”

When asked if weed was involved in any way the Beatle joked “In the kennels?” Then confirmed it was required for the “creative process”. The odd idea even got to the point of personalised kennels for different breeds. “You could custom-make them for Dalmatians to be polka dot.” McCartney said before saying they had not followed through with the business idea.

In the interview he also discussed the relationship between The Beatles and The Rolling Stones in the past. Telling Maron there was never any rivalry between the groups, “If we had an album coming out on August 28, we’d ring them and say, ‘Have you got anything coming out?’ and they’d say, ‘Yeah, we’ve got something coming out August 17,’ so we’d put ours back a bit. It was a nice scene.”

McCartney’s new album Egypt Station is out today. The singer last visited our shores late last year for a massive stadium tour. He has announced tour dates for 2019, but nothing has been planned for Australia just yet.
