Paul McCartney has announced that he has a new children’s picture books in the works, Hey Grandude!.

Hey Grandude! is set to arrive next September through Random House. This is McCartney’s first picture book and second children’s book.

McCartney announced the release of Hey Grandude! through a video posted on his Twitter account. In the video, he details his decision to release the book “Why? I’ve got eight grandchildren and they’re all beautiful, and one day, one of them said to me ‘Hey Grandude’ and I thought ‘I kind of liked that’ so I thought, that’s a nice idea for a book”

Back in 2005, the former Beatle’s legend released High in the Clouds, a book co-written with Geoff Dunbar and Philip Ardagh. It was announced earlier this year that High in the Clouds will be getting a film adaption, which will reportedly feature music by Lady Gaga and Pearl Jam‘s Mike McCready.

McCartney recently released his 17th solo studio album Egypt Station, it was his first number #1 record in 36 years.
