If we ever needed any proof that Dave Grohl’s daughters are some of the luckiest kids in the world of rock music, we only have to look at their recent performance at a US charity event.

On Thursday night, the annual ‘Autism Speaks’ gala was held in Los Angeles, with American Idol’s Ron Bultongez on the bill, alongside actor and musician Jamie Foxx. Sadly, when Foxx was forced to pull out of the event due to a scheduling conflict, the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl was kind enough to step in.

Having performed at the event previously, Dave Grohl took to the stage to perform a rendition of ‘Everlong’, before his twelve-year-old daughter Violet joined him on stage for a couple of covers as well.

Performing a cover of Adele’s ‘When We Were Young’ (which the pair have played previously), the Grohls also snuck in a cover of Billie Eilish’s ‘idontwannabeyouanymore’.

Of course, while Dave and Violet Grohl have performed Adele’s ‘When We Were Young’ before, this is far from the first time we’ve seen Dave’s daughters try their hand at the music game.

While both of Dave’s daughters appeared in the film clip for ‘The Sky Is A Neighbourhood‘, Icelandic Foo Fighters fans were treated with a surprise performance last year when Harper Grohl took over the drum kit for an impromptu Queen cover.

In related Foo Fighters news, fans are eagerly waiting to see if there will be a Nirvana reunion at the band’s Cal Jam Fest this weekend. After teasing a performance on Twitter this week, fans are hoping to see the surviving members of Nirvana team up with Joan Jett and Deer Tick’s John Macauley this weekend.

At this stage, only time will tell, but to be honest, we probably wouldn’t complain if Dave got Violet Grohl to take on vocal duties for at least one track.
