It’s been ten years since Ur Boy Bangs launched himself into the spotlight with breakthrough single ‘Take U to Da Movies’. Since then, the prolific rap auteur has spent his time spawning hit after hit. Bangz has wrapped about taking his suitors to Starbucks and McDonald’s, he’s even ventured into the world of Christmas songs. Now, at 28, Bangz is back with his most realised effort to date, ‘Take U to KFC.’

‘Take U To KFC’ may be one of Bangz’ most accomplished releases ever. In this track we see Bangz appropriating the rich trap stylings of his rap contemporaries Migos. Whilst exploring a flow the recalls the early work of Die Antwoord’s Ninja. Once again, Bangz has pursued lyrical excellence. It’s one of his more confessional tracks. In the track, he assures his lover that he’ll make sure they “eat good, smoke good, drink good” and most importantly “feel good” next to him.

Bangz continues to stay true to his DIY ethos, delivering yet another perfectly executed homemade film. The carefully curated costuming seen in the clip is enough to make Catherine Martin cower in shame. It has to be seen to be believed, check out the video below.

Back in 2015, Ur Boy Bangz announced that he would be retiring from music. Thankfully he reconsidered and continues to provide us with some of the most subversive music in the game. Keep supporting Bangz, the world would be a whole lot dimmer without his artistic contributions.

In case you missed it, back in 2015 Bangz dropped the most cutting diss track in human memory. The rapper took a swing at television personality Jimmy Fallon after Fallon dissed him on his program. The track annihilated Fallon, and his career hasn’t quite recovered since. Read more about it now.
