Marilyn Manson drummer Gil Sharone has announced his departure from the band. Sharone confirmed he would be leaving Marilyn Manson through a statement on Facebook. Sharone affectionately sharing that his time with Manson was “one of the highlights of my career.”

“After five amazing years playing drums for @marilynmanson, I’ve decided to leave the band,” he wrote. “It’s been one of the highlights of my career but it’s time for me to pursue other current and future projects. Much love to @marilynmanson and the homies I shared the stage with; @jeordie @tylerbatesofficial @paulwileymm @j_alderete and to the fans. It’s been a blast.”

Sharone joined Marilyn Manson in 2013. He performed on 2015’s The Pale Emperor and 2017’s Heaven Upside Down. Prior to his work with Marilyn Manson, Sharone recorded on Dillinger Escape Plan’s Ire Works and Puscifer’s V Is for Vagina. He also filled in for Travis Barker in +44 when he broke his arm back in 2006.
