After what feels like an age of teasing, Machine Gun Kelly has finally dropped his collaborative track with Yungblud and blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.  ‘I Think I’m OKAY’ premiered on Beats1 yesterday. The track is set to feature on Machine Gun Kelly’s forthcoming record, Hotel Diablo. It follows previously released songs ‘Hollywood Whore’ and ‘El Diablo.’

This marks Yungblud and Travis Barker’s second collaboration, earlier this year they joined forces with Halsey for ’11 Minutes.’

In an interview with Zane Lowe, Machine Gun Kelly revealed that he “scared to even bring [Barker] the song,” as he was trepid that Barker would think it was too similar to blink-182. Whilst the track undoubtedly wears a blink-182 influence on its sleeve, all those involved contributed a unique vision.

“Fun fact about the song is that YUNGBLUD came into my studio 15 minutes before I needed to go to Travis’ house, because we had a session planned,” Kelly explained. “I was like, ‘Dude, I have this crazy song idea. I just need you to do something but I don’t have any time. I have to go to Travis’ house. I can’t waste his time. You just gotta get in there and do something.’”

“He went in there and freestyled his whole verse and just left my house all within 10 minutes. I called him back 30 minutes later, and I’m like, ‘Dude, Travis Barker’s putting drums on the song right now.” Listen to the track below.
