You know exactly what the day is, it’s New Music Friday, which means we’ve been blessed with more music than we can poke a stick at. Here are some of our absolute favourites that came out on this very day, Friday 23rd August.
Happy New Music Friday everyone, it’s been an exciting week for music, with a whole load of albums, EPs, mixtapes and singles coming our way.
Here are seven tracks you may have missed off your radar that just came out today!
1. Missy Elliott – ‘Throw It Back’
Only this morning Missy “Misdemeanor” Elliott announced that an EP would be coming our way, and now it is here, Iconology is out in all its glory, and the lead single ‘Throw It Back’ just reminds us why we love her so much.
2. Knocked Loose – ‘A Serpent’s Touch’
New Knocked Loose is out and we are… well, we’re knocked loose. A Different Shade of Blue came out today and it is insane. Highlight from the album has to be ‘A Serpent’s Touch’ featuring Emma Boster of Dying Wish. Check it out if you haven’t already!
3. WAAX – ‘Big Grief’
One of Australia’s greatest bands out at the moment have dropped their new album Big Grief, and it is tremendous. Listen to the titular track ‘Big Grief’ below!
4. Ok Moon – ‘Stones’
Ok Moon has dropped their debut self-titled album, and let me tell you, it is quite a masterpiece. You can watch the new video for ‘Stones’ below, and read our Get To Know with the band HERE.
5. Lana Del Rey – ‘The Greatest’
Love her or hate her, you cannot deny how simply sublime the two new Lana Del Rey tracks just released today are. We’re addicted.
6. Tropical Fuck Storm – ‘Braindrops’
Tropical Fuck Storm have released their long-awaited new album Braindrops, and the lead single is a major treat. Kudos on the band for having another incredible album cover under their belt.
7. BROCKHAMPTON – ‘No Halo’
BROCKHAMPTON’s new album GINGER comes out today, and fresh new track ‘No Halo’ is an absolute highlight. Be sure to give the American boyband some love.
