It’s been a wild year for Moby, who has well and truly spent 2019 trying to cement his status as Most Unhinged Man In Music.

Moby celebrated the 20th anniversary of his career-defining record, Play, on May 17th. He also released his the prophetically-titled memoir, Then It Fell Apart.

The memoir featured a very publicly disputed account of his experience dating actress Natalie Portman. In the account, Moby described himself as a “bald binge drinker” who was stunned to see “a beautiful movie star” like Portman “flirting” with him.

Shortly after the release of the memoir, Portman hit back at the musician, noting the memoir included “factual errors and inventions.”

If that wasn’t embarrassing enough, Moby recounted a pseudo-romantic rendezvous he had with pre-fame Lana Del Rey where she referred to him as ” ‘The Man.’ As in, ‘stick it to The Man.’ As in the person they guillotine in the revolution.”

Now, in continuing the mid-life crisis, Moby has gotten a whopping new neck tattoo. “VEGAN FOR LIFE.”

“I’ve been a vegan for almost 32 years, so getting this tattoo seemed like a pretty safe bet,” he wrote on Instagram. “Also, working for animal rights and animal liberation is my life’s work. And to state the obvious, it’s a double entendre.”
