Ever one to make revealing claims about his former band Motley Crue, bassist Nikki Sixx has revealed that things weren’t so red hot by the end of the infamous glam bands career.
Speaking to Billboard about the band’s final tour in 2015, Stixx revealed that he “didn’t feel” a “camaraderie” backstage during the rock circus.
“I didn’t have any physical challenges. I think I was just detached in a lot of ways” he remarked.
“We would do our meet-and-greets and we all would be cordial, but it just didn’t feel the same”.
Despite this, he said that since the band’s controversial new biopic The Dirthit the screens thing’s have felt “like the old days.”

“it’s the best feeling to at least know that we’re brothers and friends through all this. Rock ‘n’ roll tears your fucking heart out sometimes. It’s hard.”
The Dirt received mixed reviews from critics, with many panning it for glorifying a band that indulged in ultimate toxic masculinity and disrespect of women.

Perhaps more accurate was the book of the same title, which contained stories of such a nature that Sixx himself apologised for their graphic nature.
Despite hanging up the touring boots, the band released four new songs with the movie; The Dirt (Est. 1981), Ride With The Devil, Crash and Burn and their own take on the Madonna classic Like A Virgin.
The band hasn’t ruled out new music in the future, with Sixx cautiously offering that he doesn’t “know what the future holds musically.”
