This one is a significant blow to the Aussie indie community.

City Calm Down announced today that they will be going on an indefinite hiatus following their national tour in support of their album, Television. Making the news public on Facebook, the Melbourne band reassured their followers that the decision was an amicably made one.

“The past 12 years and, in particular, the past 5, have been immensely fulfilling and we are incredibly grateful to everyone that has played a small or large role in our journey.” they have said.

“With your support, the four of us have been able to live our childhood dreams and that is an incredible gift that you have given us.”

The band has been on the road internationally recently, returning from Europe and the UK in time for their Australian tour.
