San Diego prog-rock heroes, Chon will be heading to Australia and New Zealand for their debut headlining tour.

The band are set to celebrate their self-titled third record, that arrived in June this year. As well as showcase cuts from their exquisite back-catalogue.

“We really wanted to make songs with more simplistic structures, but also the craziest parts we’ve ever had musically,” Guitarist Mario Camarena shared of the self-titled record.  “I think our music is already so weird that when the structure is also crazy, it can be hard to follow. I really wanted this new album to appeal to people who maybe don’t listen to this style of music.”

The tour is set to kick off on February 20th at The Brightside in Brisbane before heading to Stay Gold in Melbourne on February 21st, Crowbar in Sydney on February 22nd, Jive Bar in Adelaide on Sunday, February 23r and Amplifier Bar in Perth on February 25th. They will then cross the Tasman to play a gig at Valhalla in Wellington on February 27th and Tuning Fork in Auckland on February 28th.
