In absolutely perfect news, #1 Dads are back with their first new song in five years. Tom Iansek has been busy cutting teeth with Big Scary and No Mono but the trailblazing producer has found the time to bless us all with luscious new track ‘Another Day.’
‘Another Day’ marks the first new music we’ve received from #1 Dads since 2014’s stunning full-length, About Face. Of the new track, Iansek explains that, “this song is like a little ray of light in a dark place”.
The new track arrives with an accompanying music video, “written, produced, directed, filmed, choreography, acted, lighted, styled, setup and packed-down” by Iansek.
“It’s a bit of an anti-videoclip videoclip,” he explains. “I wanted to see how far I could go with as little as possible. The music-making process followed this ethos in a way too, perhaps it is an extension of that.”
To celebrate, Iansek will be playing a special one-off show in his hometown of Melbourne at the Howler in December. He will also be performing at Falls Festival. You can catch #1 Dads at the below dates.
