Dune Rats have just announced their latest round of Aussie tour dates, heading around the country next year in support of their latest album.
It’s hard to believe that it’s almost been three full years since Dune Rats released their second album, The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit. Hitting number one on the Aussie charts, and spawning a bunch of classic singles like ‘Scott Green’ and ‘Bullshit’, the record was an instant classic.
Since then though, the band have been relatively quiet, touring from time to time but not releasing any music until ‘No Plans’ earlier this year. Following it up with the likes of ‘Rubber Arm’ and ‘Crazy’, we soon learnt that these tunes would appear on their third record, Hurry Up And Wait.
Produced alongside James Tidswell (Violent Soho), engineer Mitch Kenny, producer/songwriter Miro Mackie, and mixer Mike Green, Hurry Up And Wait is set for release on January 31st. Now though, Dune Rats have revealed when you’ll get a chance to hear all their new tunes live.
Kicking off their Hurry Up And Wait tour in Adelaide on February 29th, the group will hit up Perth, Brisbane, and Sydney, before wrapping things up with a show in Melbourne the following week.
To make things better, Dune Rats will be joined by a veritable who’s-who of Australian rock, including the beloved Ruby Fields, who will be bringing her inimitable songwriting, sharp wit, and stellar live shows along for the ride.
Meanwhile, Dear Seattle also join the bill, bringing along their classic live show which has seen them classified as “figureheads of Australia’s grunge resurgence.”

Last, but not least, the support slots are rounded out by Wollongong’s TOTTY, who have toured with the likes of Skeggs, Hockey Dad, and Slowly Slowly, and have established a reputation as one of the finest Aussie rock acts on the scene.
Tickets to the upcoming tour go on sale from Tuesday, December 3rd at 10am local time, with a pre-sale kicking off 24 hours earlier. Check out all the details below.
