In a very revealing game of Tone Deaf’s ‘Who’s Most Likely To?’, Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West of Oh Wonder dished the dirt on each other and definitely did not hold back.

In town for an intimate concert for a hundred of their biggest fans, Tone Deaf sat down with them at Low 302 Bar, Sydney, to get to know the true power couple behind the impeccable harmonies.

They made a quick trip to Australia last week to celebrate the release of their latest track ‘Happy’ off their forthcoming album No One Else Can Wear Your Crown. The song’s bright, pop-electro melody is both parts soothing and exhilarating and the lyrics perfectly encapsulate the feeling of finally achieving solace – and truly wanting the best for an ex-lover.

However, the chemistry between the pair couldn’t be any more wholesome; firing off spicy responses and erupting into roaring laughter after almost every question.

Although their international fanbase reaches far and wide, the pop-duo achieved peak notoriety in 2017 in their unique cross-genre collaboration with American rapper Lil Uzi Vert.  He sampled Oh Wonder’s 2015 hit ‘Landslide’ in his chart-topping song The Way Life Goes.’ The song peaked at #24 on the Billboard Hot 100 that year and was later remixed to also include the vocals of Nicki Minaj.

Josephine and Anthony also donated the profits of all their merchandise sales on the night of their Sydney show towards the Australian bushfire relief, and if that’s not pure enough for you, I don’t know what is.

‘Oh Wonder’ commences the Aussie leg of their tour later this year on the 21st of August in Sydney, followed by a show on the 23rd in Melbourne. No One Else Can Wear Your Crown’ will be released in full this coming Friday, February 7 and if ‘Happy’ is any indication, we can’t wait for what this album holds.
