Remember GWAR, the sci-fi horror-themed band that decapitated a figurine of then-PM Tony Abbott, at Soundwave Festival?

Well, they’re back in the news again, this time earning themselves a spot on CNN getting interviewed about self-isolation in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was Pustulus Maximus who fronted the news cameras on behalf of the band, introducing us to his “Antarctican fortress” (literally a mound).

“This might look all green, but I swear to you…this was all frozen tundra” he sneers.

When asked about what the other band members were doing he was blunt.

“They’re doing stuff…music I guess. But I’m not gonna learn it. It just gets in the way of my stuff.

“It’s a very opportune time to not have to talk to anyone…management doesn’t call, the labels don’t call.” Watch the footage below.

Singer Beefcake the Mighty had a parting message for viewers.

“Once this is all over, we wanna kill you up-close and personal…we don’t want a pandemic to take you all out.”

So, there you have it. CNN landed a GWAR interview. Your move Fox.
